Tinnitus is a Latin word in origin and means, ringing or tinkling. Quite innocuous sounding, but the condition is very distressing and can leave sufferers at their wits end.
Tinnitus is a constant whirring, ringing, or high pitched noise, which may not be coming from your ears at all, but from your brain.
This distressing condition is more common in people over 40 and is predominantly found in males.
